Mission accomplished!

Mission accomplished!
Me at the end of a workday!

Boulder is resting near me, inscrutable in its demeanour and certainly not too concerned by the world around it. Time to digress once more from my rolling!
Given the complexity of the world around us, one issue has become as daunting as can be: that of this ever evolving way of communication with each other. It is a sort of paradox that has reached levels that are very alarming and isolating us more when we think we are getting closer to each others. People are texting right and left, even when queuing up, walking or driving, endangering their lives and those of others. What is the urgency that compels the individual to pursue such a way of communicating? Is it because it is cheap, or is it because the information cannot wait to be shared? The explanation could be entirely not related to the means but rather to the end. The process of writing is somehow more practical since it allows us to think for an elaborate answer to a message, whereas responding to a call has to be spontaneous and can sometimes be confusing because of an emotion that was not there in the first place.
This one issue is only one of many that do affect what the meaning of life in this technological world has become: harder to analyse. Everything becomes obscured by false purposes that lead us astray from our humanity which was more present when minimalism was the norm in our approach to communicate with each other and be attuned to our environment.  No more simple phone calls or epistolary exchanges to inform each other because we want to be informed now and often, the immediacy multiplied tenfold by access to cheap information as the serious and more meaningful one is harder to tackle. It is definitely a case of mediocrity in a context of complexity. Where is that boulder now? Rolling away from me again just like my poor tired mind!
